Areas of placement may include: Corporate Legal – Compliance (JD-level): The Global Compliance team at NBCUniversal works with all businesses to provide guidance and to help identify and mitigate risk. The team is responsible for implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls, enforcing compliance with Integrity standards, and promoting an ethical culture across the Company. The successful JD-level intern will support the broader Global Compliance team with a special focus on the Consumer Protection Compliance practice, which is responsible for helping all businesses comply with domestic and international consumer protection laws, regulations, and industry standards. Corporate Legal – Government Affairs (JD-level): NBCUniversal’s Government Affairs team focuses on regulatory, legislative, and public policy matters related to broadcasting/media/film/streaming issues, including broadcast licensing and media regulations, programming and advertising standards, accessibility, privacy, intellectual property, and content piracy.
