Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027).
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
  • Must have an active Social Security number (NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company).
  • Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Students pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • Previous internship or work experience within finance, accounting, and/or data preferred.
  • Strong interest in the media industry.
  • Ability to multitask and highly organized.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of any Finance and FP&A Systems (SAC, BPC, Essbase, Oracle) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of film budgets, perform ad hoc financial analyses, and contribute to the overall financial duties of film projects (Film Finance).
  • Assist Global Distribution Accounting and Reporting with the monthly and quarterly close process, financial audit and SOX compliance, customer audits, and monthly reporting to third parties (Global Distribution Controllership).
  • Be involved in sales and revenue forecasting, working directly with the sales organization to develop and review revenue budgets in over 100 territories (International Finance and UPHE Global Finance).
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining deal analysis/financial models, and providing insights to key trends in the markets (International Finance and UPHE Global Finance).
  • Support NBCU Studio Group which oversees the development, production, and marketing/distribution of Film & TV Content (Production Finance).
  • Work on Monthly Pacings/Forecasts while assisting in pulling reports from the Finance database (BPC SMART) to help in variance analysis for both OCF & FCF, such as Content Delivery & Airing Schedule Analysis (USG TV FP&A).
  • Work on the 13-Week Forecast, 3rd Party Collections Reconciliation, and with the Development Finance Assist team in tracking development projects (USG TV FP&A).
  • Gain exposure to financial systems, accounts payable, production payroll, budgeting, and cost reporting (USG TV Production Finance).
  • Perform daily ad hoc projects including ledger inquiry research, analysis, forensic accounting, p-card management, invoice processing, and check printing (USG TV Production Finance).
  • Update and distribute various weekly production tracking spreadsheets (USG TV Production Finance).
