As an NBCUniversal Academic Year intern, you’ll work on real projects, be part of our collaborative culture, and get the support you need to grow - across two full semesters. Our Internship Program is all about impact, giving you the chance to contribute to meaningful work while building skills that matter. The Academic Year Internship Program runs from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027, requiring a time commitment of 16-24 hours per week, with the exact schedule determined based on business need and accommodation for course schedules. Opportunities will require an intern to work from New York, NY. NBCU Corporate groups are uniquely positioned at the core of our organization, with employees using their expertise to support all businesses across the company. Operations & Technology is a $1B operating cash flow ($1.5B FCF) division of NBCUniversal, functioning as a global shared service performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. Areas of placement may include International Corporate Finance, Billing Ad Sales, International Corporate Finance, Risk Management, and Enterprise Product (Tech) Finance.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027).
  • December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
  • Must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Students pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • Previous internship or work experience within finance, accounting, and/or data preferred.
  • Strong interest in the media industry.
  • Ability to multitask and highly organized.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of any Finance and FP&A Systems (SAC, BPC, Essbase, Oracle) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation, analysis, and invoicing of domestic and global media campaigns and licensing fees (Billing Ad Sales).
  • Support the Risk Management team, which is responsible for the delivery of credit analysis, credit decisioning, risk assessment mitigation controls, and all other material risks associated with Accounts Receivable across over 100 NBCU Business Units (International Corporate Finance, Risk Management).
  • Supporting the enhancement of our current state SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) solutions to convert them to leverage the new Code Block (Enterprise Product (Tech) Finance).
  • Performing delivery of an SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning solution that replaces one or more of our current state BPC solutions (Enterprise Product (Tech) Finance).
  • Assisting with project management of the keystone program that will include multiple SAC and BPC solutions (Enterprise Product (Tech) Finance).
