About The Position

As part of Penumbra’s legal team, the Legal Intern will support a growing and dynamic company that develops ground-breaking technology to further its mission of saving patients’ lives. The intern will work closely with attorneys and administrative professionals as part of this closely-knit team while supporting external departments essential to the Company’s operations.

Requirements

High school diploma and 1+ years of college coursework, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills required.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and other standard office tools

Responsibilities

Prepare drafts of documents and agreements needed by other departments, such as board meeting minutes, confidentiality agreements, international distribution agreements, consignment agreements and pricing agreements.
Perform research and draft memoranda on industry-specific legal and compliance issues, as well as changes to global privacy laws.
Support Penumbra’s corporate governance efforts and compliance with securities laws.
Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
