About The Position

As part of Penumbra’s legal team, the Legal Intern will support a growing and dynamic company that develops ground-breaking technology to further its mission of saving patients’ lives. Work closely with attorneys and administrative professionals as part of this closely-knit team while supporting external departments essential to the Company’s operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 1+ years of college coursework, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills required.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and other standard office tools

Responsibilities

• Prepare drafts of documents and agreements needed by other departments, such as board meeting minutes, confidentiality agreements, international distribution agreements, consignment agreements and pricing agreements.
• Perform research and draft memoranda on industry-specific legal and compliance issues, as well as changes to global privacy laws.
• Support Penumbra’s corporate governance efforts and compliance with securities laws.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
• Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
