About The Position

This Intern position will offer law students an opportunity for paid practical experience across a variety of practice areas supporting the Bright Horizons Legal Department. This experience is valuable to law students as a means of allowing them to understand how their studies are applied in an active business setting. This Hybrid role requires 3 days of in-person work at our Newton, MA headquarters. This role will work from April to July 2026. Requirements

  • College degree required.
  • Must be applying, accepted or enrolled as either a full time or part time student in a law program.
  • 0-2 years of experience required in the field or in a related area
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain a positive attitude; and solid customer service skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with drafting and reviewing of contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Observe client meetings, negotiations, and administrative hearings.
  • Aid in company’s defense of legal claims (research, writing, interviewing, and case development).
  • Perform legal research involving state and federal laws and regulations impacting the company.
  • Other tasks as needed in the course of working in a dynamic in-house legal department of a public growth company.
  • All work will be performed under the supervision of a Bright Horizons attorney
