About The Position

Zenity is a leader in AI Agent Security, providing a security platform for AI agents. As enterprises adopt AI agents, Zenity is establishing the security framework for their governance at enterprise scale. The company offers full-lifecycle visibility, governance, detection, prevention, and response for AI agents. Zenity has secured over $180M in funding and is trusted by Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises. This role is for a law student interested in hands-on experience within the legal function of a fast-growing AI cybersecurity company. The intern will work closely with the Director of Legal Counsel, gaining insight into how an in-house legal team manages risk, negotiates, organizes knowledge, and adopts new tools. The position is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, structured around class schedules, starting as soon as possible and lasting for about three months.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a J.D. and have completed a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong legal research skills and can talk through how you approached a research question, not just what you found.
  • Excellent attention to detail, the kind that catches an inconsistent defined term or an ambiguous clause on a first read.
  • Can spot a potential legal issue and explain it clearly and concisely, without over-lawyering the explanation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized enough to manage competing priorities and comfortable with a scope that shifts as business needs change.
  • Comfortable collaborating with people across a business, not just other lawyers.

Nice To Haves

  • Curiosity about how AI is changing legal work, and interest in testing new tools rather than defaulting to the familiar ones.
  • Interest in how legal operates inside a technology company, though no prior in-house, tech, cybersecurity, or commercial contracting experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and redline commercial agreements, including NDAs and vendor agreements, and flag key terms, risk areas, and open issues for the legal team.
  • Help build a searchable repository of Zenity's existing agreements, and design a system for organizing them that actually gets used.
  • Evaluate and test AI tools for legal work, and give structured feedback on where they help, where they fall short, and where they're not accurate enough to trust yet.
  • Research legal questions across areas like privacy, employment, AI, and commercial and contract law, and turn what you find into clear, actionable takeaways.
  • Support improvements to legal workflows, documentation, and processes as the team identifies them.
  • Take on additional projects as priorities shift, with exposure to different parts of an in-house legal function.

Benefits

  • Paid at $30 per hour
