Transactional & Litigation Legal Intern
About The Position
This internship offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a manager and department colleagues. Interns will conduct legal research and draft memoranda on various litigation and transactional matters. The role involves assisting in the preparation of case strategies and working under the supervision of experienced attorneys to develop legal skills and knowledge. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and revising various types of contracts and legal documents, as well as conducting legal research on transactional matters such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities. Interns will also participate in client meetings and negotiations, gain practical experience, support the legal team in due diligence processes, and collaborate with attorneys to prepare for and close transactions.
Requirements
- Law student from accredited law school who has completed over 50 course hours
- Highly detail-oriented
- Desire to learn corporate culture
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Technical skills required for navigation in multiple systems and learning new technology
