About The Position

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking Legal Fellows to assist IJM national lawyers and legal teams in defending clients and seeking justice on their behalf. This role involves supporting the legal team's administration, conducting legal research and writing, assisting with case intake and management, and participating in strategy and operations meetings. Positions are available in various global offices, with a program duration of 12 months from June 2027 to May 2028. IJM is dedicated to protecting vulnerable people from violence worldwide and has a proven track record of reducing slavery and violence through its Justice System Strengthening Projects.

Requirements

Law school graduate (US applicants)
Completion of Bachelors of Law (non-US applicants)
Fluency in Spanish required for Latin American offices
Mature orthodox Christian faith

Responsibilities

Help ensure the smooth administration of the legal team including managing of documentation, providing administrative support to lawyers and creating PowerPoint presentations
Support or conduct legal training sessions
Research legal issues and write briefs that will assist in rescuing and protecting victims (varies by casework type)
Assist in developing best practice documents based on casework experience
Assist with case intake
Input case details into Casework Tracking Management System
Participate in legal strategy meetings
Participate in operations briefings and debriefings
