About The Position
The ACLU of Georgia welcomes legal externs for the fall semester. Legal Externs must be in law school and will be expected to commit approximately 20 hours per week to the externship. The externship is designed for those who are interested in pursuing a career in public interest litigation.
Requirements
- Must be in law school
- Strong research skills
- Strong writing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in civil liberties and civil rights
- Commit approximately 20 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Perform legal research
- Draft legal memoranda
- Potentially draft legal briefs and other documents
- Be otherwise available to support the ACLU of Georgia’s litigation activities
