About The Position

Equivity is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with hands-on experience using Clio to support attorneys and paralegals with administrative, client-facing, and workflow support tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working within established systems, staying organized, and contributing to a well-structured legal team environment. In this role, you’ll work as part of a dedicated, long-term team of legal professionals, supporting attorneys while remaining fully backed by Equivity’s internal operations and leadership. This is a support-focused position where you’ll help keep matters organized and moving forward within clearly defined workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a legal administrative, legal assistant, or litigation support role.
  • Hands-on experience using Clio in a legal setting
  • A completed bachelor's degree
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours/week to start
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skill
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Windows-based computer preferred
  • Availability and responsiveness within 1 hour during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setting up and maintaining matters within Clio or other case management systems, including updating contacts, notes, tasks, and documents
  • Support intake workflows by scheduling consultations, sending engagement agreements, and helping ensure required information and documents are collected
  • Assist with managing calendars, scheduling meetings and deadlines, and helping track important dates
  • Help maintain task lists and workflows to support ongoing case progression
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and support a professional experience
  • Assist with time entry, invoicing support, and general administrative processes
  • Upload, organize, and maintain documents within firm systems
  • Assist with inbox management, drafting routine correspondence, and routing communications
  • Help track next steps and follow up on outstanding items to support case progress
  • Contribute to maintaining organized systems and supporting day-to-day practice operations
