Requirements

Experienced litigator with at least five (5) years of post-call experience, with a focus on litigation
Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

In-house experience considered an asset
Tax and accounting knowledge considered an asset
Ability to communicate in French considered an asset

Responsibilities

Manage litigation on behalf of the Firm, from early case assessment and strategy development to drafting pleadings and overseeing research and analysis
Work with external counsel where warranted, with the goal of resolving litigation at minimal impact to MNP
Provide advice to various leaders and executives
Draft concise emails and legal documents
Identify and research legal issues, analyze complicated situations, and develop practical solutions
Develop good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and work effectively with outside counsel
Assist in developing legal policies
Write briefs on regulatory, legal, and compliance matters and other ad hoc legal issues to support legal positions and provide guidance to teams
Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
