About The Position

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced legal and commercial professionals with backgrounds in contracts, compliance, in-house legal work, or related business-facing legal functions. This role focuses on reviewing and evaluating legal, contractual, compliance, and commercial work products for quality, accuracy, relevance, and professional soundness. Selected professionals will assess agreements, analyses, documents, presentations, and supporting materials while providing clear, structured feedback.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher
At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience in legal affairs, commercial contracts, compliance, in-house legal work, or a closely related field
Experience as a Legal Counsel, Commercial Lawyer, Contract Specialist, Compliance Officer, In-House Counsel , or similar professional
Strong understanding of commercial contracts, legal analysis, and/or compliance matters
Strong analytical and document-review skills
Strong written communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines
Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Comfortable reviewing varied legal and commercial work products
Able to work independently and provide precise professional feedback
Applicants must be based in the United States, Europe, United Kingdom, or Canada

Responsibilities

Review commercial agreements and contract-related materials for clarity, consistency, and completeness
Assess contractual provisions, obligations, responsibilities, and commercial considerations
Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or unclear terms
Evaluate whether contract-related recommendations are logically supported
Apply practical judgement grounded in commercial legal experience
Review legal and compliance-related documents and professional materials
Assess whether legal considerations are accurately and clearly presented
Identify gaps, unsupported conclusions, or inconsistencies
Evaluate compliance-related recommendations for relevance and practical applicability
Apply structured review criteria across varied assignments
Evaluate legal materials within broader commercial and operational contexts
Assess whether recommendations appropriately account for business objectives and constraints
Review commercial considerations relevant to contractual or compliance decisions
Identify disconnects between legal analysis and business requirements
Evaluate work products for practical usefulness
Review professional documents for accuracy, completeness, and organisation
Assess legal and commercial analyses for clarity and internal consistency
Identify factual, structural, or reasoning issues
Evaluate whether supporting information appropriately supports stated conclusions
Maintain strong attention to detail across assignments
Review Excel spreadsheets and supporting quantitative materials
Assess calculations, tables, assumptions, and underlying information
Identify inconsistencies, missing data, or obvious errors
Evaluate whether quantitative outputs align with associated legal or commercial conclusions
Review materials for clarity and professional quality
Review PowerPoint presentations for accuracy, structure, and professional quality
Assess legal, compliance, and commercial messaging
Identify inconsistencies between source information and presented conclusions
Evaluate tables, summaries, and supporting analysis
Ensure complex information is communicated clearly and effectively
Assess assigned work products against defined quality standards
Identify substantive legal, contractual, compliance, analytical, and presentation issues
