About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Legal Consultant II to join their team. This role involves supporting the Court Order Compliance group within the Criminal Response Team in a high-volume, confidential environment. The position requires independent work, problem-solving, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate with law enforcement during life-threatening situations 24x7x365. Responsibilities include answering calls, authenticating callers, providing customer records for emergent matters, documenting and managing cases end-to-end in compliance with laws and procedures, validating and responding to subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants. The role also involves escalating matters to management when necessary, managing workload effectively, entering customer and account data, handling calls, reviewing data for errors, and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. A basic understanding of legal concepts is beneficial, and proficiency in typing and computer skills is necessary.

  • Paralegal certificate is not required but any legal background, education or experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Criminal Response Team in a high-volume environment.
  • Communicate with the law enforcement community regarding life-threatening situations 24x7x365 by answering calls and authenticating callers.
  • Provide law enforcement with customer records needed for high priority emergent matters.
  • Ensure all cases are correctly documented and managed end to end in compliance with all applicable laws and company procedures.
  • Validate, log, and respond to all subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants served upon the company for customer records.
  • Demonstrate sound decision making and understanding of when a matter needs to be escalated/referred to management.
  • Manage workload effectively to complete high priority tasks within compliance guidelines.
  • Enter customer and account data from source documents within time limits by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Handle calls and data entry of legal process into the workflow management system.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct incompatibilities, and check output.
