About The Position

At Halligan LLC, we are seeking a high-energy Legal Assistant, also referred to as a 'Chaos Coordinator,' who will serve as the 'Director of First Impressions' and 'Chief Logistics Officer.' This role is crucial in the family law practice, where clients are often experiencing difficult times. The ideal candidate will bring order to chaos, ensure the legal team operates smoothly, and guarantee attorneys are prepared for their tasks. This position emphasizes client experience, administrative excellence, and firm workflow, with less focus on drafting legal briefs.

Requirements

Unflappable demeanor, remaining calm under stress and when facing looming deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written (professional, warm emails) and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, Lawmatics, PracticePanther, Asana, and Zoom.
Willingness to learn new practice management software.
Reliability and being a dependable point of contact for the team.

A basic understanding of the Colorado legal landscape.

Responsibilities

Being the Face of the Firm: Welcoming clients (virtually or in-person) with professionalism and genuine empathy.
Managing the Pulse: Owning the master calendar, including scheduling mediations, hearings, and client meetings across multiple time zones.
Workflow Logistics: Coordinating mail, managing digital files, and ensuring attorneys have necessary resources for trial preparation.
Gatekeeping: Managing high volumes of calls and emails, prioritizing urgent matters, and helping attorneys maintain focus on legal work.
Special Projects: Assisting with marketing efforts, firm events, or streamlining internal office processes.
