About The Position

Peachtree Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support its legal and corporate teams. This role is responsible for managing administrative processes, maintaining legal records and trackers, and assisting with entity management, compliance, and transactional support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling both ongoing operational tasks and project-based initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or corporate administrative role
  • Experience with entity management, legal documentation, or transactional support preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and document management systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with corporate governance, real estate, or finance-related legal work
  • Familiarity with entity management platforms (e.g., CSC, SharePoint)
  • Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage FedEx labels and track deliveries
  • Coordinate courier orders and monitor delivery status
  • Scan and organize paid-off loan files, including saving Notes and Allonges
  • Facilitate EB-5 and licensing signature processes for non-legal documents
  • Maintain inventory of loan files located in the corporate office
  • Track and document the location of loan files held externally or with third parties (including CTC)
  • Update and maintain safe inventory records, including items stored outside the primary safe
  • Audit entity foreign qualifications and good standing status across multiple states (including AL, CA, MD, TN, TX)
  • Maintain and update legal form templates, including organizational charts, operating agreements, contribution agreements, and authority documents
  • Track entity dissolutions and coordinate confirmations for legal review
  • Process and maintain Certificate of Authority (COA) amendments, including document storage and organization
  • Update and maintain entity master lists, including adding NAICS codes and associating entities with relevant deals
  • Audit third-party custodial (CTC) files for paid-off loans and coordinate return of documents
  • Prepare and generate W-9 forms
  • Provide entity documentation for bank account setup and maintenance
  • Organize and store miscellaneous legal and compliance documents (e.g., licensing materials, signature packages, shipping records)
  • Update master organizational charts with historical lender information (e.g., PCF IV)
  • Create and maintain structured deal folders, including adding Senior Financing documentation
  • Revise and maintain document shortcuts and file structures during system migrations (e.g., S drive to SharePoint)
