About The Position

Aspen Careers is partnering with a respected Columbus law firm to identify an experienced Legal Assistant to support two busy partners whose practices focus primarily on estate planning and probate matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows how to manage multiple priorities, and wants to join a firm where leadership genuinely invests in its people. The role involves providing dedicated support to two established partners with active estate planning and probate practices, taking ownership of a busy desk with a variety of responsibilities, deadlines, and moving pieces. The firm values initiative, good judgment, reliability, and open communication, and offers the opportunity to build or expand experience in estate planning and probate.

Requirements

  • 3–4+ years of strong legal assistant experience preferred.
  • Candidates with 2+ years of experience may be considered if they have a strong legal background and can independently manage a busy workload.
  • Estate planning and/or probate experience is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Confident managing multiple assignments, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Comfortable supporting attorneys with high expectations and a fast-moving practice.
  • Proactive and willing to ask questions when clarification is needed.
  • Quick learner who can adapt to different work styles and develop structure within the role.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Dependable, professional, and responsive.
  • Able to work primarily in the firm's Columbus office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support to two established partners with active estate planning and probate practices.
