We are seeking highly motivated, organized, and professional applicants for a legal assistant/paralegal position with the Water & Natural Resources Division. This position will primarily assist attorneys representing large state agencies requiring a wide range of legal services, including litigation in federal and state court, contested case hearings before the Environmental Quality Council, the promulgation of agency rules, and responding to public records requests. The paralegal hired for this position will be expected to handle a wide array of tasks for multiple attorneys. Responsibilities of this position are those typical of a legal assistant/paralegal, including legal research, drafting and editing legal documents and correspondence, maintaining case files and records, and assisting with discovery. Other responsibilities include assistance with case development, investigation, client contact, and assisting attorneys at trial. The paralegal hired for this challenging position will be expected to handle a wide array of tasks for multiple attorneys with strict internal and external deadlines.
