Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experienced self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong phone handling skills and active listening abilities.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Highly professional with a customer service focus.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve with minimal direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible team player who works well under pressure with minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teraview, Conveyancer, and eConveyance.
  • Must be available to work varied shifts. Our hours of operation are 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Willingness to work overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a law firm and/or title insurance environment is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of residential real estate practices is considered an asset.
  • French language skills is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Open new title insurance orders received by phone, fax, or email, ensuring accurate entry of information into an internal database.
  • Address client inquiries, take and follow up on title insurance orders, and effectively manage client concerns.
  • Proactively communicate with clients to obtain the necessary information and documentation required for the issuance of title insurance policies.
  • Facilitate the efficient issuance of title insurance policies among external clients, the internal underwriting team, and business development staff.
  • Engage with clients through various channels, including incoming calls in a call center environment and email correspondence, taking ownership of requests and escalations.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients, providing exceptional customer experience for lawyers, notaries, and law clerks.
  • Manage client complaints by offering appropriate solutions and alternatives within established timeframes; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Identify and assess client needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Effectively handle difficult client interactions, de-escalate challenging situations, and diplomatically resolve customer issues.
  • Work independently to identify and address client needs while also participating as part of a team to provide timely and appropriate solutions.
  • Follow through on commitments made to clients, ensuring successful resolutions are delivered in a professional and tactful manner.
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the overall goals of the team and organization.
