About The Position

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant for their Real Estate practice group in the Charleston office. The firm has over 110 attorneys and serves a wide range of clients. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a closing attorney's firm
  • Proficient and accurate typing skills required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience with SoftPro a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist closing paralegals and attorneys as needed in all phases of a busy commercial real estate practice, including proper file indexing of documents and emails
  • Preparation of engagement letters and conflict waivers
  • Opening of new files
  • Preparing conflict checks, legal transcription/dictation, downloading filings, correspondence, travel arrangements, billing, invoice processing, and other duties as assigned
