Job Duck is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Bilingual English/Spanish Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support a growing legal practice serving clients throughout Massachusetts. In this role, you will play an important part in managing personal injury cases from day to day, coordinating documentation, communicating with clients and legal professionals, and supporting the supervising attorney throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate combines strong legal knowledge with excellent organization, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate challenging circumstances. Requirements

  • Location: Massachusetts
  • Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time (EST)
  • Fluent English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, and court personnel
  • Previous personal injury experience is required
  • The ideal candidate should have hands on experience supporting litigation matters and managing personal injury cases
  • Experience with case management systems and document management is required
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, including electronic filing, drafting pleadings, discovery responses, and trial preparation
  • Experience requesting, organizing, reviewing, and managing medical records and medical billing documentation
  • Strong ability to manage deadlines, calendars, case notes, and follow up activities
  • Must be comfortable communicating professionally with clients and multiple legal and external parties
  • Must be able to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with the supervising attorney

Responsibilities

  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing case materials, documentation, and supporting information.
  • Assist with electronic court filings and other litigation related filings.
  • Monitor case deadlines and ensure required actions are completed on time.
  • Coordinate calendars and appointments for the staffer and supervising attorney.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes within the case management system.
  • Provide translation and interpretation support when needed.
  • Manage and maintain personal injury case files throughout the litigation process.
  • Request, collect, organize, and manage medical records and medical billing documentation.
  • Organize, update, and manage case documentation and electronic files.
  • Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish regarding case updates, documentation, appointments, and other case related matters.
  • Support the legal team with additional paralegal and case management responsibilities as needed.
  • Follow up on outstanding documentation, requests, deadlines, and case related tasks.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and timely follow through.
  • Identify potential issues or missing information and proactively bring them to the attention of the supervising attorney.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry and maintain complete case records.
  • Provide ongoing litigation support to the supervising attorney.
  • Assist with responding to discovery requests and organizing discovery materials.
  • Draft and assist with the preparation of pleadings and other legal documents.
  • Communicate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, court personnel, and other parties involved in active cases.
