About The Position

Tygart is seeking a Legal Analyst to support a DOJ office in Washington, DC. An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required. Key Responsibilities but not limited to: Process legal documentation, electronic production returns from ISPs, and the Client's generated case materials related to MLAT requests. Review foreign and domestic legal documents to identify tasking requirements for the Client's support. Prioritize and manage multiple MLAT cases and tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment. Maintain awareness of the Client's field office jurisdictions to determine the appropriate offices for tasking and investigative leads. Analysis and Evidence Processing Perform research, analysis, and de-confliction using multiple internal databases and systems. Utilize technology and software tools to review electronic evidence returns from ISPs and filter non-relevant information. Produce digital media containing evidentiary materials for dissemination to DOJ-OIA for use in international legal proceedings. Author detailed documentation describing analytical work performed and evidence processing activities to support court proceedings worldwide. Documentation and Reporting Draft written documents outlining case background information and specific legal requirements of requesting countries. Maintain and update MLAT tracking systems and databases to ensure accurate case monitoring and reporting. Utilize SharePoint and other systems to enter, track, and manage case-related data. Prepare written reports and products for DOJ-OIA and international partners. Collaboration and Liaison Support Collaborate daily with personnel and DOJ-OIA staff to facilitate the progress of MLAT requests. Build and maintain a network of internal and external resources to support analysis and case coordination. Provide training support and guidance on MLAT-related matters when required. Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders using email and other collaboration tools. Administrative and Technical Support Maintain and periodically update the unit’s tracking tools and databases. Utilize Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, and other software tools to coordinate communication and maintain records. Generate graphics and information products for internal and external dissemination. Provide responsive customer service to internal personnel and partner organizations.

Requirements

  • An active Top Secret security clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Information Technology, International Relations, English, or a related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret legal documents and understand U.S. legal standards.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written communication skills for producing reports and legal documentation.
  • Proficiency with computers and information technology tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and liaison skills with the ability to work both independently and in team environments.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-stress and fast-paced work environment.
