We are currently looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Real Estate Litigation department and invite you to review the job description.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, preferably in the areas of Litigation or Real Estate
  • Knowledge and understanding of Québec litigation proceedings
  • Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience
  • Advanced PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Able to maintain productivity in a highly dynamic environment
  • Dedicated to providing quality service to clients and service beyond expectations
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately
  • Strong ability to perform well in a high pressure environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple clients and priorities with resourcefulness and autonomy, and to achieve objectives with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all administrative and related duties, including time entry and billing
  • Preparation of correspondence, drafting and preparing documents and procedures
  • Maintain an efficient file management and bring forward system
  • Monitor procedural delays
  • Organizing and assembling books of authorities
  • Communication with various bailiffs, court representatives, and registries
  • Communication with legal assistants, paralegals, other lawyers and clients
  • Other duties as required
