About The Position

A well-established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys within its Litigation practice. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented legal professional who can manage multiple priorities, anticipate attorney needs, and provide high-level administrative support in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of legal administrative assistant experience, preferably supporting litigation attorneys.
  • Knowledge of state and federal court procedures and electronic filing systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with document management, time-entry, and billing systems.
  • Excellent proofreading, grammar, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys.
  • Prepare, revise, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other materials.
  • Assist with electronic filings in state and federal courts.
  • Maintain attorney calendars and track court dates, filing deadlines, meetings, and other critical dates.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, trials, client meetings, and conference calls.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.
  • Assist with opening new matters, conflict checks, and engagement documentation.
  • Prepare expense reports, process invoices, and assist with monthly billing.
  • Coordinate attorney travel and prepare itineraries.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and outside parties.
  • Provide administrative backup and support to other attorneys and practice groups as needed.
