About The Position
The Legal Account Representative is responsible for engaging with consumers to resolve outstanding balances through clear communication, real-time documentation, and accurate data entry. Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with FACS or Odyssey software systems
- Experience in Collections background
- Experience with Small Claims
- Experience and familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound calls and perform outbound calls to consumers
- Handle dispute resolutions
- Educate the consumer on their current situation and try to resolve the debt balance
- Coordinate payment arrangements
- Communicate with internal team for items to be processed through the court system
- Take notes while on the phone
- Update account statuses, dispositions, and payment arrangements
- Research accounts as necessary – EOBs, insurance, previous activity
