Seeking an experienced Legal 5 professional to support its Legal and Compliance organization. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to identify and communicate key legal issues to management. This role requires a highly motivated, self-starting professional who can effectively gather information from multiple legal and compliance teams, analyze relevant legal developments, and prepare clear weekly management reports in Korean. Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
5+ years of professional legal experience.
Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
Strong legal research, legal analysis, and issue-spotting skills.
Ability to interpret laws, rulings, regulations, and legal precedents.
Ability to research and summarize legal cases and their practical application.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be willing and able to work fully onsite in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

Monitor and consolidate weekly updates from various groups within SEA Legal and North America Legal & Compliance.
Identify and analyze key legal, regulatory, and compliance issues.
Conduct legal research and perform detailed legal analysis and issue spotting.
Prepare and write weekly reports in Korean for management, summarizing important legal and business topics.
Interpret laws, regulations, rulings, and legal precedents and assess their potential impact on business operations.
Research and summarize legal cases and explain their relevance and application.
Communicate legal findings and recommendations clearly to management and relevant stakeholders.
Work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Develop an understanding of emerging technology areas, including 5G and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Stay informed about relevant developments in technology, law, and regulatory requirements.
