About The Position

This position involves standing on a conveyor line to make cuts and remove meat from the leg bone. The employee will pick up whole legs one at a time and place them on a moving shackle. Responsibilities include complying with written plant policies, maintaining a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies, and physically inspecting products for defects. The employee must also identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their supervisor or plant management. This job requires the ability to stand 100% of the workday, constantly grip a knife, and work in a constantly damp, cool environment (less than 45 degrees F). Good hand/eye coordination with repetitive motions is necessary. This job description is not all-inclusive, and the company reserves the right to modify the job without prior notice.

Responsibilities

  • Make the cut removing all meat from leg bone.
  • Pick up a whole leg one at a time and place leg on moving shackle.

  • Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
  • Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
  • Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to immediate supervisor or plant management official.
