The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and may be taught in English or the target languages of Spanish or French, depending on departmental needs. Requirements

  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Graduate level and/or Terminal in Spanish (language), or French (language), or additional relevant field.
  • Substitution: Significant professional industry experience may substitute for the degree, year for year.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish and/or French.
  • Ability to work and teach effectively both in an online or hybrid in-person delivery.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

  • Experience teaching in a higher education environment in related field to teaching assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting all assigned class meetings in a timely and prepared way
  • Thorough and accurate correction of assignments, providing appropriate constructive feedback
  • Prompt return of corrected work and recording of grades
  • Providing guidance and support to students
  • Offering regular weekly office hours on campus for students
  • Administering midterm and final course evaluations
