About The Position

This is a continuous recruitment posting for Lecturer positions within the College of Fine Arts & Communication at UW-Stevens Point. While there may not be an immediate need, applications are accepted to build a pool of candidates for future part-time or full-time lecturer opportunities. Applicants will be considered for future needs, and their application will remain on file. Lecturers are hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee assignment in the following semester. The teaching load can range from 1-12 credits per semester.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in appropriate discipline
• Eligibility to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment
• Authorization for a criminal background check
• Supply three (3) professional references/one (1) of which being a current or former supervisor.

Nice To Haves

• Supply five (5) professional references/two (2) of which being a current or former supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
