About The Position

Gen Bus 410 (Business Solutions Capstone) is a required undergraduate capstone course designed to connect academic learning with real-world business challenges and advance the Wisconsin School of Business’s commitment to experiential education. In this interdisciplinary, project-based course, students work in teams on company-sponsored engagements that require strategic thinking, rigorous business analysis, and professional communication. The Lecturer plays a central role in delivering these immersive learning experiences. This individual guides student teams through complex, ambiguous business problems while ensuring academic rigor and professional-quality outcomes for company sponsors. The Lecturer fosters leadership development, structured problem-solving, and career readiness, reinforcing the full scope of students’ undergraduate business education. This role requires exceptional classroom facilitation skills and the ability to translate theory into applied practice within a dynamic, client-facing learning environment. The annual instructional load is 18 credits. This position can be extended in subsequent semesters to teach one or more of course(s) listed, or similar courses within the department. The FTE for this position has the potential to fluctuate depending on the number of classes taught. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment.

Requirements

  • Experience applying business frameworks to real-world problem-solving
  • Master’s Degree Required

Responsibilities

  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
