Applications are being invited for the position of Lecturer in the Department of Plant Pathology in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University. The Department of Plant Pathology at The Ohio State University invites applications for a lecturer with training in Plant Pathology to support its General Plant Pathology undergraduate course. The successful candidate will be expected to teach an introductory course on laboratory techniques for studying plant-associated microbes and for diagnosing plant diseases. Topics include parasitism and disease development, fungi, oomycetes, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, plant-microbe interactions, disease epidemiology and disease management. This position also requires participation in laboratory, greenhouse and field research focused on anaerobic soil disinfestation of soil borne pathogens, assisting with treatment application, disease ratings, plant sampling, and site maintenance. Candidates with experience in general plant pathology and microbiological laboratory techniques are encouraged to apply.
