About The Position

The MIT Women’s and Gender Studies Program (WGS) is seeking candidates for two part-time Lecturer positions for the Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 academic year. The role involves teaching a total of six individual undergraduate courses, with a teaching load of either 2-1 or 1-2 courses per semester. The core course, WGS.101 Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies, will be taught in both Fall and Spring semesters (M/W 3:30-5PM). Additionally, candidates may teach up to two of the listed elective courses per semester.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a related field by July 1, 2026.
• At least 2 years of college teaching experience in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
• Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary instruction.

• Send course proposal(s) (syllabus, reading list, assignment structure), semester availability, C.V., names and contact information for three recommenders, and one complete set of recent teaching evaluations to Stacey Lantz at [email protected].

Responsibilities
