About The Position
The Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering is accepting applications for a part-time Lecturer appointment to serve as the instructor for ENVENG 3210 in Spring 2027 semester. ENVENG 3210 is a required course in the environmental engineering program that provides students with the foundation instruction on the principles, application, selection, and design of unit operation processes for water and wastewater treatment. Duties include but are not limited to: developing and delivering course materials, holding office hours; grading assignments and submitting grades; may participate in curriculum development and course coordination. ENVENG 3210 is taught in-person on the University’s main campus in Columbus. The class meets on Monday and Wednesday from 8:00 – 9:20 am each week. The Ohio State University will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Requirements
- MS degree in engineering or equivalent
- Professional engineering license
- 10 or more years experience in an environmental engineering setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio State’s Shared Values.
