About The Position

The Department of Physics at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach PHYS 203: Modern Physics. This course provides an overview of the fundamental ideas of modern physics and covers principles of fluids and thermodynamics. Topics include fluids, temperature, heat, kinetic theory of gases, entropy, laws of thermodynamics, special relativity, wave-particle duality, quantum mechanics, atomic physics, electronic properties of solids, nuclear physics, the standard model, and cosmology.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Physics and related fields.
  • Must be able to work in the State of California.
