About The Position
The Department of Finance at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park, seeks to hire non-tenure-track professional faculty at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer rank. The appointee will develop and teach high-quality courses to undergraduate, MBA, specialty master’s, and DBA students. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent teaching in a relevant area of finance and to incorporate current insights from research and practice into existing and new courses. The Robert H. Smith School of Business is one of 12 schools and colleges at the University of Maryland, College Park. It offers undergraduate, full-time and part-time MBA, M.S., Executive MBA, Ph.D., non-degree executive education, and corporate outreach programs, and is described as a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy.
Requirements
- Demonstrated excellent teaching skills in a relevant area of finance.
- Ability to incorporate the latest insights from research and practice into existing and new courses.
Nice To Haves
- A terminal degree in a related field; a Ph.D. is preferable.
- Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Prior teaching experience at a top-ranked business school.
- Experience in senior corporate leadership roles.
- Expertise in business and research applications of AI and emerging technologies.
