About The Position

The Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a lecturer/senior lecturer in Sports Journalism, with an emphasis on broadcasting and multimedia production. This role is ideal for a veteran sports journalist who can teach and mentor the next generation of multi-platform sports media professionals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reporting, announcing, anchoring, and producing sports programming, both in the studio and on-site at sporting events. A strong understanding of current innovations, changes, and trends in the sports media industry is also valued. Students in this program contribute to the Emmy-winning Rebel Report, which covers college and professional sports, and also produce content for Rebel Sports Net, a social and digital media platform.

Requirements

Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
3-5 years of experience in reporting, announcing, anchoring, and producing sports programs.
Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date of the semester.
