About The Position

Manchester University's College of Pharmacy is seeking an Adjunct Faculty Member in Pharmacy Administration to support the Pharmaceutical and Graduate Life Sciences department during the Spring 2027 semester. This part-time teaching opportunity is ideal for an experienced pharmacy professional who is passionate about educating future pharmacists and advancing patient safety.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacy Administration or a related discipline, or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with demonstrated experience in Pharmacy Administration.
• Experience teaching, developing, or coordinating pharmacy-related coursework.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety principles and contemporary pharmacy practice.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners in a collaborative academic environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and respond effectively to student needs.
• Proficiency with learning technologies and standard office software applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Patient Safety course for second-year pharmacy students in alignment with ACPE standards.
• Serve as the course coordinator and oversee the successful delivery of the course.
• Create and maintain course materials, ensuring content is posted in advance of instruction.
• Engage regularly with students and support their academic success.
• Administer examinations, evaluate student performance, and submit final grades.
• Provide remediation support to eligible students when necessary.
• Maintain office hours and participate in academic and non-class activities as appropriate.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and University partners in a professional and student-centered environment.
• Contribute to course development, advising, and other academic initiatives as needed.
