About The Position

The UNT Mathematics Department is seeking applications for a full-time lecturer position to begin in Fall 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching four courses/sections each semester during the academic year, primarily focusing on entry-level college mathematics courses including developmental and corequisites pathway courses.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field by August 2027, including a minimum of 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework with a MATH or STAT prefix.
  • At least one year of experience teaching college-level mathematics courses.
  • A terminal degree in the assigned discipline or related field is required for teaching graduate level courses.
  • Meets the performance expectations related to the workload outlined in UNT Policy 06.005.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional consideration may be given for equivalent applied experience in accordance with faculty credentialing guidelines.
  • Experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
