About The Position

Duties Teaching Teach 24 credit hours per year of baccalaureate-level courses in mathematics, and possibly statistics or mathematics courses for prospective K-12 teachers; prepare and present course materials; administering appropriate tests; evaluating student outcomes; prepare, administer and grade assignments; assign final grades. Participation The position will also involve participation in other departmental activities. Engaging in scholarly activity that enhances curricular offerings, current levels of basic or applied research, external levels of funding, opportunities for student research or internship, and/or standing of faculty and programs amongst peers in their discipline. Activities recognized as scholarship should involve peer evaluation and/or dissemination. Participating in the self-governance of department Contributing to the professional service responsibility of the University with the local community and/or the service needs of professional organizations within the discipline, and academic advising.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree or higher in Mathematics or related field e.g. Statistics or Masters degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in university level mathematics or statistics
