Lecturer in Leadership in Social Innovation
About The Position
The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Brandeis University is seeking a co-instructor for the BUS 295a: Leadership in Social Impact Innovation course for the Spring 2027 semester. This is a 4-credit, experiential course where students collaborate in teams to address real organizational challenges for social impact organizations within the livelihoods, environmental, social, and governance sectors. Partner organizations include both non-profit and for-profit enterprises, varying in scale from local to global. Each student team will be paired with a partner organization and a mentor to define the scope of a strategically impactful and tactically feasible challenge. The teams will be responsible for diagnosing the problem, conducting research, developing recommendations, and delivering a ready-to-implement product to their client by the semester's end.
Requirements
- Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree.
- Relevant entrepreneurial qualifications.
- Experience in Social Impact organizations.
Responsibilities
- Co-instruct the BUS 295a: Leadership in Social Impact Innovation course.
- Guide student teams in solving real organizational challenges for social impact organizations.
- Facilitate team work in diagnosing problems, conducting research, and developing recommendations.
- Oversee the delivery of implementation-ready products to client organizations.
Benefits
- Compensation between $4,500 to $5,000 range depending on qualifications.
