Lecturer in Leadership in Social Innovation
About The Position
The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Brandeis University is seeking a co-instructor for the BUS 295a: Leadership in Social Impact Innovation course for the Spring 2027 semester. This is a 4-credit, experiential course where students collaborate in teams to address real-world organizational challenges within the livelihoods, environmental, social, and governance sectors. Partner organizations include both non-profit and for-profit entities, varying in scale from local to global. Each team will be paired with a partner organization and a mentor to define the project scope, focusing on challenges with significant strategic impact and practical feasibility. The teams will be responsible for diagnosing problems, conducting research, developing recommendations, and delivering an implementation-ready product to their client by the semester's end.
Requirements
- Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree.
- Relevant entrepreneurial qualifications.
- Experience in Social Impact organizations.
Responsibilities
- Co-instruct the BUS 295a: Leadership in Social Impact Innovation course.
- Guide student teams in solving real organizational challenges for social impact organizations.
- Facilitate the process of problem diagnosis, research, recommendation development, and product delivery.
- Oversee teams in delivering an implementation-ready product to clients.
Benefits
- Compensation in the range of $4,500 to $5,000, depending on qualifications.
