Lecturer Pool - Economics AY 2026/27
About The Position
The Department of Economics at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Applicant pools are used to fill short-term Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool are only good for the current academic year and will be closed effective May 31st. Applicants wishing to be considered for the next academic year must apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 15th.
Requirements
- A master's degree in economics.
- Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
Nice To Haves
- A doctorate in Economics.
- Experience in higher education teaching and/or research relevant to the course content in area of instruction.
- Demonstrate intercultural competence.
- Commitment to serving the campus community as it relates to teaching and, as applicable, service.
Responsibilities
- Teach economics courses as needed.
- Potentially engage in research relevant to course content.
- Potentially engage in service to the campus community.
