The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer position starting Fall semester 2027. The Lecturer will be expected to perform the duties of a lead instructor of General, Organic Chemistry, and/or Inorganic Chemistry courses, teaching lecture sections and laboratory. This position will have a typical teaching load of 2 undergraduate lecture sections per semester or a laboratory course and a lecture section. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal upon successful performance review. The candidate should have a proven commitment to outstanding teaching. A commitment to educational/professional development and service is strongly encouraged. Qualified candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related area at the time of application. The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in joining a team of instructors dedicated to excellence in teaching using modern, evidence-based pedagogical approaches, with an emphasis on inclusiveness and accessibility to support the success of a diverse student body.
