The Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia seeks applications for part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses during the academic year. The ability to teach core or elective courses on major policy issues or leadership skills are required. An advanced post-graduate degree, a record of publication, excellence in teaching, and/or public service in government, non-profit, or for-profit organizations are highly desirable. Teaching quality is a priority for the School, and candidates are expected to have demonstrated effective teaching or related experience. Built upon the strong foundation of one of the nation's top public universities, the Batten School combines rigorous training in policy analysis with a unique emphasis on the acquisition of leadership skills. Our faculty is intentionally interdisciplinary and enriched by professors of practice who bring real-world policy-making expertise to the classroom. The Batten School currently offers an MPP degree and an undergraduate major in public policy and leadership and a minor in social entrepreneurship, as well as multiple dual degree programs with other UVA units.
