The Theatre and Performance Studies Program at CI invites qualified applicants to teach one or more courses: THTR 181 Vocal Empowerment on Stage and Screen, a lower-division requirement for Theatre and Performance Studies majors and GE: Area A1 (Oral Communication) for majors and non-majors, introduces basics of on-camera work and vocal practices for effective and empowering performance and presentation. THTR 380 Acting III Performance Styles, an upper-division requirement for Theatre and Performance Studies majors. This class focuses on advanced acting exercises and scene work featuring performance styles from a variety of periods and genres. May focus on one or several specialized acting styles from antiquity to the present. This is a part-time faculty pool for available assignments during the academic year. Applications are considered throughout the year and reviewed based on Theatre and Performance Studies Program need, the courses listed above are those typically in need of staffing.
