About The Position
The College of Business Administration at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer pool in the Business Freshman Experience (BUS 1010) course for part-time teaching appointments. BUS 1010 introduces students to university life while fostering the academic, professional, and personal skills essential for success as students and lifelong learners. The role involves guiding students in strategies to maximize personal and academic performance, cultivating an appreciation for ethical responsibility, and developing foundational understanding of the business environment. The course supports student engagement, critical thinking, and professional readiness through instruction, mentorship, and assessment aligned with early-career business education goals.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Business or related discipline in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
Nice To Haves
- A Ph.D. in Business or related discipline
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned division courses in the department’s curriculum and serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
