The Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit, Catholic university in Silicon Valley, seeks two Lecturers to teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Accounting beginning in Fall 2026. Santa Clara University and the Leavey School of Business have a long tradition of teaching excellence. Teaching is judged by the "teacher's total effect upon the education of his or her students" and includes classroom instruction, academic advising, and curriculum development. The successful applicant is expected to teach undergraduate courses in Introduction to Managerial Accounting. They are also expected to integrate fundamental managerial accounting concepts with practical applications in business decision-making. The position duties include teaching/advising, service, and professional activity. Teaching is the primary responsibility of a Lecturer. The maximum teaching load is nine undergraduate courses over three academic quarters (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Lecturers are appointed for a one-year term. Reappointment to subsequent terms depends on the availability of funds, the persistence of programmatic need, and superior teaching.
