Leave and Disability Manager
About The Position
The Manager, Leave and Disability assists with oversight of leave and disability policies and administration for Prime Healthcare facilities nationwide. The role assists in leading the team responsible for administering leave and accommodation requests in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and short- and long-term disability plans. The manager interprets and administers leave and disability programs and policies under applicable employment laws, monitors leave and accommodation trends, and establishes benchmarks, goals, and action plans. The role also builds relationships with senior leaders to anticipate service needs and develop solutions, and provides transformational leadership and strategic planning to deliver business results. Prime Healthcare is an award-winning health system headquartered in Ontario, California. It operates 54 hospitals and more than 360 outpatient locations in 15 states, with over 60,000 employees and physicians. Requirements
- College degree or at least 3 years of experience in leave administration.
- Previous experience coordinating employee leaves, such as medical, personal, FMLA, or ADA leaves.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with oversight of leave and disability policies and administration across facilities nationwide.
- Assist in leading the team that administers leave and accommodation requests in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and disability plans.
- Interpret and administer leave and disability programs and policies in accordance with applicable employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act.
- Compile and monitor leave and accommodation trends; set benchmarks and goals and develop action plans as needed.
- Develop relationships with senior leaders to anticipate service needs and drive solutions.
- Provide transformational leadership and strategic thinking to establish long-term plans that deliver business results.
