About The Position

As a Leasing Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high occupancy levels and resident satisfaction. You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process and ensuring a seamless move-in experience. In addition, you’ll work closely with the property management team to market our community, execute lease agreements, and build strong, lasting resident relationships.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in leasing, property management, sales, or customer service is preferred
  • Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and property management software (AppFolio or similar)
  • Familiarity with fair housing laws and leasing regulations
  • Availability to work weekends and evenings as required
  • Excellent organizational abilities—efficiently oversee a high-traffic online dashboard
  • Highly detail-oriented—skilled in managing prospective clients' interests and aligning them seamlessly with available options

Responsibilities

  • Greet and build rapport with prospective residents, providing tours and highlighting property amenities and benefits.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, or online platforms, addressing questions and scheduling tours.
  • Guide prospective residents through the leasing process, including application submission, screening, and lease signing.
  • Meet or exceed leasing and occupancy goals by effectively converting leads into signed leases.
  • Assist in creating and executing marketing plans to drive traffic, including social media posts, email campaigns, and outreach events.
  • Ensure property listings are up-to-date across all online platforms, showcasing professional photography, accurate pricing, and detailed descriptions.
  • Coordinate and participate in community events to foster engagement and promote the property.
  • Orient new residents to the properties, providing an overview of community rules, amenities, and resources.
  • Investigate and resolve resident complaints and concerns in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Enforce occupancy policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with fair housing laws and company regulations.
  • Maintain timely and clear communication with residents, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Monitor completion of maintenance and repairs to ensure they are handled promptly and cost-effectively.
  • Ensure the security of premises by maintaining security devices and addressing safety concerns.
  • Organize and oversee incoming and outgoing inspections, preparing detailed inspection reports.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address resident concerns and ensure property upkeep.
  • Accurately process rental applications, including income verification, background checks, and credit screenings.
  • Prepare and maintain lease agreements, ensuring compliance with fair housing laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records in property management software (AppFolio experience is a plus).
