Leasing Consultants make the first impression on potential and current residents. They help ensure resident satisfaction while meeting leasing, retention, and occupancy goals. The role calls for strong communication, creative problem-solving, relationship-building, and customer service skills to understand and anticipate residents’ needs and create positive experiences. The position manages leasing from the initial tour through move-in, supports renewals and resident relations, and contributes to marketing, occupancy, and retention efforts. It also involves preparing lease and application documents, maintaining resident files and bookkeeping records, coordinating resident events, and assisting with other projects as needed. The work is intermittently sedentary but requires daily mobility, including climbing stairs to tour, show, and inspect apartments. The employee works in a typical office setting and is exposed to outdoor conditions while touring the community. The role may involve stressful and varied situations, long hours and irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays, as well as periodic work-related automobile travel and possible airline travel or overnight trips. Attendance and punctuality are essential. Camden may adjust responsibilities to meet business needs, and employees must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
